Lady Gaga is the rare overnight sensation that seems to be poised to stick around in the spotlight for a long time. Lady Gaga, or Joanne Stefani Germanotta as she was known as a child, was drawn to attention. She had no problem hopping up on tables at restaurants to provide the patrons with impromptu performances. She also didn't mind streaking around the house naked, gogo dancing after dropping out of college, or having a bad girl reputation.
None of it seemed to hurt her though as she landed a lucrative songwriting deal and went on to become one of the most in demand performers in music after releasing just one single. As the hits keep piling up, her empire continues to expand. For a dropout bad girl from NYC, Lady Gaga has done well indeed.
